They are probably very busy and I'm no doubt at the end of their list. I did write to Support yesterday afternoon, but haven't heard anything back yet. Thanks for the clarification on that other site. If you have a spare hard drive, I would suggest re-installing a vanilla copy of Windows on it as a test and starting againĭo make sure you back up all settings before changing anything though. If the above changes don't fix it, I think your pc needs a health check, as that could be anything between a virus/ failing hard drive/ failing RAM / network failing and a million other things. Point is, considering you're using a legacy version, 30 bux buys you the right to email support to get an official answer, as well as a butt load of features and improvements - dual streaming, 'nuff said. The implementation of DeepStack (AI) was a game changer for me, and I bought the extended service package for 30 bux and never looked back. As you likely know, the game used to be fine tuning your detectors to find the sweet spot between legitimate events of interest and false alerts. However, BI completely redesigned the console interface, updated UI3, and added Artificial Intelligence to reduce false alerts. I resisted the upgrade from 4->5 until July of last year. But you don't need to go there, legacy versions are available at the BI main site. He means to suggest that the community over there doesn't take kindly to ill formed questions from new members - and one runs the risk of being rudely scolded. Can't find a copy of the file anywhere on the Internet. Getting and running the BlueIrisService.exe (64 bit) file is the only thing I haven't been able to try. The copy I have though was last backed up about 2 hours after the update was installed, so it's useless. I do use Macrium Reflect daily (except it's turned off right now). I haven't purchased a V5 license because it says on the Blue Iris v4 Options page that my version is "Not version 5 eligible". That didn't happen, so I've uninstalled version 5. I did install version 5 hoping to get the BlueIrisService.exe (64 bit) file. The recordings that I do get just aren't as good as they used to be, there's a lot of jerky motion and missing frames in the videos. If I trigger the cameras, they start recording but then quit for the rest of the day. On my system, Blue Iris 4 is running as a service so it starts automatically every time my system is rebooted.īy quit working properly, the biggest problem is many of the cameras just aren't continuing to record. Once you get things sorted, your old settings can be imported. Also, BI makes 3 backups of your configuration - reg files in the program folder. You shouldn't rely on Restore points - for me, anything mission critical gets imaged daily with backup software ( Macrium Reflect Free). Walk us through and post screenshots if necessary. You've installed version 5 - What's the problem? What's it not doing that you expect? Did you purchase a v5 license yet or trial? Folks here are pretty helpful - but since you've got a lot of moving parts there to dissect, I would advise a cautious approach with installations and such. "quit working properly" doesn't give us much to go on. Start at the beginning from when you first launch BI in windows. That's about the only hope I've come up with to maybe get back to normal and have all 18 of my cameras working again as they did before the Windows Update.Īny other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I've also tried installing Blue Iris 5, but it just copied all my Blue Iris 4 information which didn't help matters either.ĭoes anyone know where I can download the 64 bit file for BlueIrisService.exe. I've searched the Internet looking for a BlueIrisService.exe (64 bit) file, to no avail in hopes that would resolve my problems. I've also noticed that in my Task Manager it's showing I'm running BlueIrisService.exe (32 bit) as a Background process. I have noticed on my About Page in Blue Iris Options that it's now showing Release 4.8.6.3 圆4. My Support and Maintenance is Expired, so I don't know if there's a fix available. Still not working after about 3 weeks of trying in every spare moment I could come up with. I've gone through all the settings in the Blue Iris options and changed a lot of them in hopes of figuring it out. Windows had also deleted all my Restore Points, so I had nothing to try to help matters. Then two days later, I was sent the exact same update which was already installed when I discovered it. I uninstalled the Windows update, but that didn't help much. So many problems from that update! That's when Blue Iris basically quit working properly. About 3 weeks ago Windows 10 was updated which made my computer (apparently) a 64 bit version of Windows.
